The latest Nexus lecture was a tale of climate, fishing and the reintroduction of beavers to Cornwall

We were very pleased to welcome Nigel Sainsbury from the University of Exeter for the latest public lecture hosted at Nexus.

Nigel started by explaining about his previous work in researching the factors which influence attitudes to the reintroduction of once native species to areas where they have been driven out due to human activities.

He then discussed his future research plans, which include looking into the factors which affect the success of fishermen and fisherwomen when they head into the oceans. He talked through his plans for data collection and how he will also be investigating the most useful way to statistically analyse his results.

The lecture was fascinating and a true insight into the work of an academic researcher.
