STEM Holiday Clubs

Here at Nexus we are all about promoting STEM to children in Cornwall. As part of this we run a range of STEM Holiday Clubs that your Year 5 son or daughter can attend at our Nexus Campus.

All the clubs are run by fully qualified Science and Maths teachers, and offer heaps of fun and lots of learning too!

The dates for our next STEM Holiday Club have been announced. The club will run on the 8th-11th April 2019.

Easter Camp 2019

Following the huge success of last year’s Year 5 STEM Camp, we will be again running a Year 5 STEM Easter camp for the 2018/2019 academic year.

The camp will run at our Nexus Campus over the Easter Holidays from Monday 8th April – Wednesday 10th April 2019 inclusive and will be open to both boys and girls currently in Year 5.  The camp will start at 9.30am daily and finish at 3.30pm.  On the final day of the camp parents will be able to join us for a presentation at 2.15pm.

We are planning a really exciting programme of experiments and experiences for the children who attend this camp. From 3D printing, Coding Challenges and Escape Rooms, we’ve got everything here to keep your science-mad child entertained!

The cost of the camp will be £70 for the full three days.  Unfortunately we are unable to accept bookings for individual days.  Refunds will only be given in exceptional circumstances and only upon receipt of documentary evidence in support.

Places on this camp are limited and we again expect a strong demand.  Bookings therefore will therefore not be confirmed until such time as we have received a completed and signed booking/consent form and full payment.  All places thereafter will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

In order to request a booking/consent form please contact our reception on reception@nexuscsia.co.uk.

Easter Camp 2018

The lucky attendees at our 2018 Year 5 STEM Easter Camp had three jam packed days of activities.

The children had a blast with many workshops including a maths murder mystery, a spaghetti engineering challenge, a day of chemistry, a meteorite crater investigation and tardigrade hunting.

All the children have had an amazing time filled with outstanding experiences and we hope that we have inspired them to continue following their passion and interest in STEM.
