The amazing co-curricular programme has been running at Nexus for the past three weeks and students are now getting their teeth stuck into all the activities on offer. Have a look at some of the exceptional activities on offer today.
Greenpower Electric Car
Students have been introduced to their Greenpower Kit Car. Over the next year they will have to design, build, test and race their car against other schools in Cornwall in the regional heats. The car is powered by an electric motor and the students are responsible for the entire project.
The Game Development co-curricular is giving Nexus students the chance to learn how to code a game for a specific audience. They can choose which language to use and to create their own game rules.
Dr Grant Mackintosh is working with our amateur astronomers to explore the solar system and beyond. At the end of this co-curricular students will be able to take their friends and families stargazing and wow them with their knowledge of the universe.
Our creative writing co-curricular, Scribblers, has kicked off with students working hard to craft the perfect piece of writing. Although this is a PPE activity, a number of STEM students have jumped at the chance to get involved.
A number of students took advantage of their co-curricular time to get caught up with all their homework.
