We were blown away last night with the number of parents and children who visited Nexus to hear about the Gifted Programmes for our Open Evening. It was standing room only as Dr Jo Foster introduced the ethos and beliefs of the Nexus programme and shared some of the amazing things that our students have been involved in.
Ollie T took to the stage to share his phenomenal journey so far in the Nexus programme, from visiting NASA to see the launch of a SpaceX rocket to his work experience next year at the European Astronaut training centre. Also on stage were Annabel and Taylor from Cornwall School of Maths and Science who talked through the opportunities available to our VI Form students.
After the talk, parents and pupils were invited to have tours of the Nexus building where a number of Nexus students were on hand to show them around and answer questions about the programme. Ben M was delighted to give parents and pupils a chance to use his computer-coded selective breeding programme while Maya D and Isla R introduced their Mandarin lessons and taught our visitors some Mandarin.
We hope that everyone had all their questions answered, but if you would like to find out more information about the Gifted Programmes at Nexus then please do email our team on firstname.lastname@example.org
