Nexus Gifted Programmes;
Nexus STEM and Nexus PPE
The Gifted STEM and Gifted PPE Programmes are only available to students of CSIA. Once a member of CSIA, access to the Gifted Programmes is through aptitude testing and interview. The majority of students who wish to apply will participate in the aptitude testing that is held every year in March once the student’s place at CSIA has been confirmed. Occasionally places may be offered to students on the basis of their SATS scores and an interview.

Nexus Assessment Day Saturday 23rd March 2019
This Assessment Day is mainly for current Year 6 students joining the school in Year 7.
The process is rigorous and is designed to determine aptitude for STEM subjects and English, as well as current performance. Students will initially sit an online test and an examination paper in Maths, Science and English.
Students who have been successful in these tests will then be called for interview. This interview will determine whether they are suitable for the Programme or not, and which of the two Gifted Programmes is currently most suitable for them. The interview dates this year are 25th and 26th April 2019.
A limited number of places may be offered after this admissions window based on exceptional SATS results and an interview.
Some students joining CSIA in-year may sit the testing in the term in which they join. If not successful in initial application, students can re-apply for a place in the Gifted Programme in Year 8. An individual student can only sit the test once per year.
